The Owner

Russell Gish has been involved in the hotel and hospitality business for over 45 years and within Executive Search for over 30 years. Originally, Russell started his career as a chef in some of the world’s top hotels, moving into Food and Beverage management, Restaurant Operations and finally managing Private Membership Clubs in Asia.

With work experience on many continents, Russell spent a large majority of his career in Asia, predominately Hong Kong and China. While in Hong Kong, Russell changed his career path to become a senior consultant with a renowned hospitality consultancy firm. Whilst at this consulting company he first entered the world of HR and Executive Search.

Russell returned to the United States in 1998 as Senior Vice President for an Executive Search firm and during his five year tenure was involved in high-level projects in all fields of hotel / hospitality and tourism both in the US and globally.

As owner of Global Hospitality Services for nearly 18 years, Russell has the proven experience and track record to handle all levels of management and executive positions.  With Russell’s guidance and quintessential leadership, GHS has successfully delivered results on senior-level projects in the United States, Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia pacific, South America, and the Caribbean.

British born, Russell is a focused, passionate, ebullient character who strives for excellence in the executive search field and the hospitality industry.  He is well traveled and through his experience is able to apply a macro understanding of cultures, concepts and business processes to executive search assignments.  He is also very well networked and through his vast connections and tenacious approach is able to source and deliver top candidates and emerging talent for his clients.
